Q.2 If you indicated that “other reason(s) not listed” as a reason for leaving please elaborate.

• going to play pro football

 • Deployed to Irag

 • Court Ordered, will be gone for over a month.

 • From my experiance, I am not impressed at all with some of the instructors that I have had here. In my Intro To Natural Resources class, we had Don Cavalier coming in once a week to have us participate in "7 Habits Of A Highly Successful College Student"... I paid for 3 days a week of Natural Resources... Not 2 days of Nat. R, and one of Don Cavalier. And in a few of my other classes, one instructor kept having to cancel class almost once a week or every other week... I paid very good money to have an instructor in the class room teaching me.  I felt that my money went to waste here. The administration in the business office just doesn't seem to have it all together. After having my parking pass mailed to me, and paying extra for a reserved lot, then getting to winter when I needed to use the lot and having my car towed. I think I paid enough tuition here to not have to worry about double checking every move that everyone makes up here. I am coming to study and get my e! ducation, and all of my concentration should be focused on that. Making the grade is stressful enough, let alone having to worry about who's mistakes I'm going to have to try to straighten out next.  For a while, it was just one thing after another.   I understand people make mistakes, but come on, enough is enough. To be totally honest, if it wasn't for my fiance' living closer to Crookston than my home, I would have left shortly after Spring semester began. I do not plan to come back to Crookston in the future, and I do not plan on recommending UMC to anyone either.

 • Transferring to finish a degree somewhere else

 • Overwhelmingly dissatisfied with the quality of education for the cost at UMC. Academic coursework not demanding enough. Few liberal education class choices. No Women's Studies, African-American Studies, Native American Studies, or ANY diversity/multicultural classwork.

 • Not bein treated equal.

 • Finished more schoolind down south

 • Medical reasoning and wanted to get those taken care of before my health failed on me.

 • Major reason is not having the major to fit my needs.

 • Because i wanted to be on the riding team and it wasnt what i expected The riding team was coached by a fifth year student and i think that it should have been coached by a more qualified person

 • my boyfriend is at the college im transferring to

 • that, I just wanted alittle time off, and wanted to go out west for a while.

 • I wanted to join the riding team here and i did and it was not what i expected The riding team was coached by a fifth year student and i think it should be coached by an actual coach and someone mroe qualified

 • N/A

 • the lack of good coaching available in the volleyball aspect. this is a D2 college, and it seemed like junior or Dac-10 coaching to me.

 • Son has medical issues that need my full attention.

 • Changing majors, school doesn't offer major I'd like to change to.  Grades were also a big issue.

 • When I decided to attend UMC in the beginning, I didn't think about what a major effect the town of Crookston itself would have on me.  After living in Crookston for a full school year, however, I have realized that I really, really dislike small towns.  Coming from a city with a population of 600,000+, the change to such a tiny town is just too strange.

Q.8 Please add any comments or suggestions you may have.

• I don't have any suggestions... I am just glad that this semester is done with, and I am leaving.

 • UMC was, in every way, a poor fit for me. I would not advise any family members or friends to attend UMC.

 • connect more to the town so umc isnt so isolated into its own little community.

 • UMC needs more majors to get more students and it will also help keep them.

 • This was one of the best colleges that I have
